City at Second Glance (MMSU, Rijeka)

PROJECT AND GROUP EXHIBITION
May 18th – June 11th, 2015

Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Rijeka
Dolac 1/II, Rijeka, Croatia

City at Second Glance was a 3 month collaborative project in Rijeka between the artist association Udruga Punkt (artists Tanja Vujasinović and Tonka Maleković), my MA-level course Responsive Art in Public Realm (at Media Arts and Practices MA program, Academy of Applied Arts Rijeka), students from the Metallurgy Department in Sisak (University of Zagreb), the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Rijeka and several elementary and high schools in the city if Rijeka.

It consisted of Rijeka artists’ productions, artist-run film and video workshops with Rijeka elementary and high school pupils, a semester-long MA-level course Responsive Art in Public Realm (within which students worked with pupils as well as with students from the Metallurgy program in Sisak and created their own work) – all in response to the proposed topic of the second glance at the city.
